At least eight people were killed and seven others injured after a jeep fell into a deep gorge near Shantakhal in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district on Friday.
The jeep was on its way from Ghansali to Akhori when the tragic incident took place.
The injured were admitted in PHC Pilkhi. Authorities rushed to the accident site and started the operations to investigate the cause of the fatality.
Earlier this month, seven people were injured when a bus carrying 26 people met with an accident in Mulya village located in Devprayag of the same district.
