The United Kingdom will adopt the 1954 Hague Convention designed to protect cultural property during army conflict.
According to BBC, the government of UK has never adopted the Hague convention into law ever since it was set up after World War two.
UK Culture Secretary John Whittingdale said that it is now essential after the destruction and looting by Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria.
The UK is the only big country that has not adopted the convention yet.
The 1954 Hague Convention has more than 115 countries as a party including all United Nations Security Council members.
