Four persons were arrested on Saturday after police busted two manufacturing units of illegal arms running in the forest area here.
The police team has seized 24 locally manufactured live cartridges, country-made pistols and other items used in making weapons.
"Two illegal arms factories in the forest area under Nakhasa police station and Razpura police station were busted. Four persons have been arrested in the case. Of the four, however, two managed to flee from the spot. We have seized huge cache of arms and ammunition," Sambhal SP Yamuna Prasad told ANI.
"Around 24 locally manufactured live cartridges, country-made pistols and other equipment used in making illegal weapons were seized from the spot," he added.
Police is in the lookout for the two who escaped from the scene.
An FIR has been registered in the case.
Further investigation is underway.
