The United States has urged India and Pakistan to reflect on the common challenges between the two countries and resolve differences through peaceful means.
According to the Dawn, the US State Department spokesman John Kirby's statement came at a news briefing in Washington.
He said that India and Pakistan had a shared interest in defeating terrorism.
He also remarked that India and Pakistan celebrated their independence days earlier this week and said that the celebrations "offer a good opportunity" to reflect upon common challenges.
