Val Kilmer was recently rushed to hospital and underwent an emergency surgery for throat tumor, it has been reported.
The 'Top Gun' star was taken to UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, where doctors performed a surgery and he's currently recovering, TMZ.com reported.
Kilmer has never spoken publicly about any health issue, although it was reported earlier that his family was aware of his condition and were upset because they felt the star has ignored the problem and allowed it to get worse.
