Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has lavished praise on Marcus Rashford after he made a sensational debut during his side's win against Midtjylland in the Europa League, describing the performance as 'unbelievable'.
Marcus Rashford scored twice to help Manchester United thrash Midtjylland 5-1 to progress through to the last-16 of the tournament at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old stepped up from the bench after forward Anthony Martial was forced to withdraw due to hamstring injury he sustained during the warm-up.
Jubilant with the teenager's performance, Van Gaal said it was fantastic to see his first two goals in the debut match, the Mirror reported.
The Dutchman also applauded Memphis Depay for his best display for United with the final goal.
He said that Depay performed brilliantly and added that his performance during the match could be a turning point in his Old Trafford career.
Reflecting on United's overall performance, Van Gaal believes that his side displayed the attacking football throughout the match and were able to create number of good chances.
United, which were beaten 2-1 in the first leg of the last-32 tie, completed a 6-3 aggregate victory against Midtjylland.
