Sayani Gupta, who rose to fame with her very convincing portrayal of Khanum opposite Kalki Koechlin in 'Margarita with a Straw,' had to explain that she likes men when she visited New York gay bars during her homework days.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, the 'Fan' actress said, "I had to regularly go to New York's gay bars and spend time to prepare for my role. I've never made love to a woman. I had to tell them I'm straight... I like men."
"I like the p***s!" she added.
Further, speaking about her lesbian scenes with Kalki in the movie, Sayani said that it was the first time that she kissed a girl, unlike the 'Waiting' actress as she studied at a boarding school and "it probably happens there."
The Sonali Bose directed film won the NETPAC award World or International Asian Film Premiere at 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
