With reports indicating that the BJP will get a chance to form a government in Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra on Tuesday said, "If such an invitation comes from Lieutenant Governor (Najeeb Jung) in the future, then, the BJP will give a befitting reply at the right time, staying within the premises of the Constitution."

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar has informed the Supreme Court that President Pranab Mukherjee has given his consent to invite single largest party (BJP) to form the government in Delhi
Jung had reportedly written a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking approval to invite the BJP to form the government.
Meanwhile, commenting on the Supreme Court's (SC) hearing on Tuesday over the issue of the formation of the Delhi Government, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia said, "We are hopeful that an important decision will be taken in this direction today."
"BJP must show some guts, dissolve the Delhi Assembly and say yes for elections in Delhi," he added.
Delhi has been without an elected government since February 14, after Arvind Kejriwal resigned as Delhi chief minister, complaining of a lack of support from the Congress and the BJP on the passing of the Jan Lokpal Bill.
