Yusuf Pathan's quickfire 42 helped Kolkata Knight Riders set Delhi Daredevils a stiff target of 172 in their IPL match at the Eden Gardens.
Winning the toss, KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir had no hesitation in deciding to bat first on a spinning track.
The home team got off to a decent start, openers Gambhir and Robin Uthappa scoring 38 runs in the first four overs.
After the opening partnership was broken, Uthappa was joined by Manish Pandey, who together made 25 runs for the first wicket.
Thereafter, Pathan came after the third wicket fell and scored a blistering 42 off 24 balls. owards the end, Johan Botha's five-ball-17 provided the Knight Riders with the much needed momentum.
Amit Mishra was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi, giving away 20 runs from his quota of four overs.
