Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has received an undisclosed amount from a US-based website, which had reported that she had been paid to 100 million dollars to sleep with top Chinese officials.
A court in the US said that the two parties had reached the settlement in a libel case, the BBC reported.
A statement on her official Sina Weibo site said that nineteen months, and nearly 600 nights and days, may not be very long for a scandal case, but is long enough to destroy an innocent person's reputation.
Boxun News, in a front page apology, said that it had reported negative and untrue info about Ziyi, which was insupportable and improper.
