EcoSport production to increase for festive season; Ford India to start third shift

Ever since the inception of this compact SUV into the Indian market, the demand for this vehicle is constantly reaching new milestone very month! This under 4m brilliant package features enough goodies to keep you enticed!

Launched last year, EcoSport continues to excel in the segment; initially demands for this SUV went sky high and the company has tried hard to reduce the waiting period. Currently, the car is attracting 2-4 months of waiting depending on the variant and the booking are open. Moreover, the festive season is around the corner, in the spree Ford India is ramping-up the production for the upcoming demand, company is planning to start a third shift for the same!

“The demand for Ford EcoSport continues to be extremely strong. We have diligently worked with our suppliers to significantly reduce the waiting period for most variants of the Ford EcoSport to meet this demand. With improved availability, we are also planning to introduce a third shift at our Chennai plant to ensure that the Ford EcoSport is available across our showrooms, ahead of the upcoming festive season,” said Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director - Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India on the EcoSport's 100,000 sales milestone.

After the reduced waiting period sometime back, EcoSport is constantly marching the sales chart. Even last month, Ford India sold 5397 units of EcoSport, the vehicle is managing 5000+ units from the last two months. Furthermore, with the company planning to start third shift, demands will certainly fall down resulting in easy availability of EcoSports for the upcoming festive season!
