With the introduction of diesel powered vehicles- Honda Amaze and City in particular, the Honda India has observed unprecedented growth in their sales figures. The company rev up with its second manufacturing unit at Tapukara, Rajasthan, and is all-set to inaugrate the same on February 24. The new manufacturing unit is intended to bridge the gap between the supply and demand numbers, thereby deal better with customers in India. And still if the demand is not fulfilled properly, then the company may start on with additional shifts at the unit.
As per the company's officials, the current financial year had proved to be fruitful with a growth of 78% percent recorded by now. And with the next rolling financial year, there are two exciting products- Honda Jazz and Mobilio, to launch in the premium hatch back and MPV segments.
Considering the high demand of compact sedan, Honda Amaze, the company has concrete plans to roll out this particular product first from Tapukara plant. The plant has got the capacity of 2.4lakh units, and with the facility being functional by the month end, the company will raise its dealership netwrok to 230.
In terms of generating employment, the new unit will offer jobs to people nearing 2,200. It is situated in Alwar district of Rajasthan, approximately 190kms away from the Noida facility of Honda. All steps are targetted to increase the production capacity, so that it turns out to offer better sales to the company. Also can be said that, this will leave no customer disappointed with the long waiting peroid for Honda products.
