The show stopper at the mini stand is the drop dead beauty -Mini Cooper convertible along with John Cooper Works Kitted editions at the ongoing 12th Indian Auto Expo.
Mini is slowly increasing the luxury market share in our country. It has also localized the Mini Countryman D, which is the first ever product manufactured outside England. The Mini Cooper Convertible will be powered by BMW acquired 1.6 liter. This, 1598cc engine produces 122bhp of power on tap and 160 Nm of maximum torque, which is decent enough.
Mini will provide John Cooper Works (JCW) kits for the model offered in India.
These include historic Mini stripes and body skirts.
Other cars in the Mini Cooper Stand are the Mini Cooper D Countryman, Mini Cooper S Hatch, and Mini Cooper S Countryman. The S Contryman, powered by a petrol mill, produces 184bhp and max torque of 216Nm and tops out @210kmph.
On the other hand, The D Countryman churns of a power of 112bhp, while the peak torque is 270Nm. The car has a max speed of 180kmph, while the S Hatch, in the picture above, is powered by the same BMW derived engine as of the covertible.
