Highly Inspired From The VisionC Concept, will be fully revealed in February 2015!
After teasing the camouflaged vehicle couple of days ago, Skoda has released the very first sketch of the India bound third generation Superb. The Czech automaker will fully reveal this flagship sedan in mid-February in Prague and is set to go on sale in Europe by mid-2015. The company promises this is the ‘best Skoda ever’! Speaking of the Indian launch, since the current sedan got a facelift starting this year, expect the new Superb to enter early 2016 or late 2015.
On the design front, the new Superb draws heavy inspirations from the Skoda’s VisionC concept. The curviness that is present in the current gen Superb and even in the first gen, is gone for good, in-comes the bold new sculpted design language. The positioning of the daytime running LEDs and Bi-xenon lamps are similar to that of the Octavia. Moreover, Skoda only revealed the front profile of the Superb but seeing the similarity with the VisionC, expect the rear profile to be similar to that of the concept. On the inside, the Mirror Link infotainment which was introduced with the new Fabia is also reportedly going in the Superb.
Speaking of the engines, as the company did not reveal much about it, instead they said new Superb will boast characteristics like ‘eco-friendliness, consumption and performance’. This said, expect the vehicle to borrow updated powertrains from the new 2015 VW Passat.
