Election Commission of India has announced the dates for Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections
The Election Commission of India (ECI) today announced the dates for Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections. Polling will take place on 21 October 2019 while counting of votes will be held on 24 October 2019.
The terms of the Legislative Assemblies of Haryana and Maharashtra are due to expire on 2 November 2019 and 9 November 2019 respectively.
The Maharashtra assembly has 288 seats while Haryana assembly has 90 seats. The term of Maharashtra assembly ends on 9 November 2019. The term of Haryana assembly ends on 2 November 2019.
