Exide Industries net profit rises 2.76% in the March 2013 quarter

Sales rise 6.33% to Rs 1538.22 crore

Net profit of Exide Industries rose 2.76% to Rs 146.46 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 142.52 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012. Sales rose 6.33% to Rs 1538.22 crore in the quarter ended March 2013 as against Rs 1446.68 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2012.

For the Audited full year,net profit rose 13.36% to Rs 522.78 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 461.17 crore during the previous year ended March 2012. Sales rose 18.81% to Rs 6071.37 crore in the year ended March 2013 as against Rs 5110.06 crore during the previous year ended March 2012.
