FPIs turn net sellers

Net outflow of Rs 370.76 crore on 13 April 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 370.76 crore into the secondary equity markets on 13 April 2018, as compared to net inflow of Rs 469.77 crore on 12 April 2018. On 13 April 2018, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, rose 91.52 points or 0.27% to settle at 34,192.65, its highest closing level since 27 February 2018.

The net outflow of Rs 370.76 crore from the secondary equity markets on 13 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4342.75 crore and gross sales of Rs 4713.51 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 286.84 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 13 April 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 287.08 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.24 crore.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3722.45 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 13 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2554.03 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 13 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 595.92 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 13 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13440.35 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 13 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
