Of Unit 1 (125 MW) at Surat Lignite Power Plant

Gujarat Industries Power Co announced that due to a technical snag in the Stator Winding of the Generator, Unit - 1 (125MW) of Surat Lignite Power Plant (SLPP) of the Company at Village Nani Naroli, Taluka Mangrol, Dist.: Surat, tripped on 29 November 2014. The repairing work of damaged stator winding has been initiated in consultation with the experts from BHEL (the OEM). The Company expects the said Unit to be re-started before end of December 2014.
