Hindustan Petroleum Corporation shuts down Visakh Refinery

Following Hudhud cyclone

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation announced that its Visakh Refinery was shut down from morning hours of 12 October 2014 as a precautionary measure due to the devastating HUDHUD cyclone which hit Visakhapatnam. Currently, assessment of the damage to some of the units and support system is in progress. Parallely pre-commissioning activities are being carried out. Refinery is expected to be back in operation in the next 10-12 days.
