Nifty May 2013 futures at premium

Nifty May 2013 futures were at 5855.75, at a premium of 21.30 points over spot closing of 5834.40. Nifty April 2013 futures were at 5840.85, near spot closing. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 215486.12 crore from Rs 206067.06 crore on Thursday, 18 April 2013. The stock market was closed on Friday, 19 April 2013, on account of Ram Navmi.

Reliance Communications April 2013 futures were at 97.60, near spot closing of 97.45.

State Bank of India (SBI) April 2013 futures were at 2330.80, near spot closing of 2330.10.

Axis Bank April 2013 futures were at 1450.90, near spot closing of 1450.

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty jumped 51.30 points or 0.89% to settle at 5,834.40, its highest closing level since 18 March 2013.

The April 2013 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 25 April 2013.
