F&O segment turnover jumps
The Nifty October 2018 futures traded at 10468.75, a premium of 8.65 points over the Nifty's spot closing of 10460.10 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 11.94 lakh crore compared with the turnover of Rs 7.12 lakh crore in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 159.05 points or 1.54% to settle at 10,460.10.
Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Bajaj Finance October 2018 futures traded at 2262, at a premium from spot closing price of 2256.95. Reliance Industries October 2018 futures traded at 1106, at a premium from spot closing price of 1103. ICICI Bank October 2018 futures traded at 318.50, at a discount from spot closing price of 319.
The October 2018 F&O contracts will expire on 25 October 2018.
