Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 9944.90, a premium of 30 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9914.90 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 5.60 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.42 lakh crore registered yesterday, 3 October 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index advanced 55.40 points or 0.56% to settle at 9,914.90, its highest closing level since 22 September 2017.
Reliance Industries (RIL), Reliance Capital, Vedanta, Tata Motors and PC Jeweller were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL October 2017 futures traded at 826.70, at a premium over spot closing of 824. Reliance Capital October 2017 futures traded at 579.70, at a premium over spot closing of 576.30.
Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 320.25, at a premium over spot closing of 319.60. Tata Motors October 2017 futures traded at 426.60, at a premium over spot closing of 425.80. PC Jeweller October 2017 futures traded at 371.25, at a premium over spot closing of 370.15.
The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
