Nifty September futures trade at small premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops

The Nifty September 2017 futures traded at 10,095.60, a small premium of 10.20 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10,085.40 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment tanked to Rs 4.1 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 10.03 lakh crore registered yesterday, 14 September 2017.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 1.20 points or 0.01% to settle at 10,085.40, its lowest closing level since 13 September 2017.

Vedanta, Reliance Industries (RIL), Divi's Laboratories, Tata Motors and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

Vedanta September 2017 futures traded at 319.95, at a discount compared with spot closing of 320.25. RIL September 2017 futures traded at 845.85, at a premium compared with spot closing of 842.

Divi's Laboratories September 2017 futures traded at 869, at a discount compared with spot closing of 865.10. Tata Motors September 2017 futures traded at 402.40, at a premium over spot closing of 402. Tata Steel September 2017 futures traded at 679.70, at a premium over spot closing of 677.

The September 2017 F&O contracts expire on 28 September 2017.
