The US stock market finished session at fresh record high on Friday, 01 November 2019, as investors took comfort on some better than expected US economic data as well some relatively positive trade-war headlines. At closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average inclined 301.16 points, or 1.11%, to 27,347.36 and the Nasdaq Composite added 94.04 points, or 0.14%, to 8,386.40, meanwhile the S&P 500 grew 29.36 points, or 0.97%, to 3,06.91.

Sentiment was supported by data showing U.S. nonfarm payrolls rose by 128,000 in October, a Labor Department report showed, overshadowing data showing a contraction in the manufacturing sector for the third straight month.

On the trade front, U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the initial phase one trade pact with China appears to be in good shape and is likely to be signed around mid-November.
