Volumes jump at Asian Paints counter

Infosys, Berger Paints India, Ipca Laboratories and Power Grid Corporation of India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 10 March 2016.

Asian Paints clocked volume of 6.58 lakh shares by 13:45 IST on BSE, a 8.41-times surge over two-week average daily volume 78,000 shares. The stock rose 0.68% to Rs 883.

Infosys notched up volume of 13.98 lakh shares, a 8.06-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.73 lakh shares. The stock declined 2.54% to Rs 1,148.60. Large block deals involving the sale of 70 lakh shares of the company by its co-founders were executed through stock exchanges mechanism today, 10 March 2016. S Gopalakrishnan sold 50 lakh shares representing 0.21% stake in the company. SD Shibulal sold 10 lakh shares representing 0.0435% stake in the company. Shruti Shibulal sold 10 lakh shares of the company.

Berger Paints India saw volume of 2.42 lakh shares, a 5.08-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 48,000 shares. The stock dropped 0.76% to Rs 235.45.

Ipca Laboratories clocked volume of 1.5 lakh shares, a 3.99-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 38,000 shares. The stock rose 0.16% to Rs 549.

Power Grid Corporation of India saw volume of 13.13 lakh shares, a 3.4-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 3.86 lakh shares. The stock shed 0.36% to Rs 139.05. A bulk deal of 7.2 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 139.85 per share at 09:24 IST on BSE today, 10 March 2016.
