At least 11 people were killed and 12 others injured when a passenger van plunged into a ravine in Pakistan's Punjab province Sunday, media reported.

Rescue workers said the van plunged into the ravine in Murree tehsil of Rawalpindi district after the driver lost control of the vehicle due to heavy rains and slippery roads, Dawn online reported.

The van was carrying 25 people.
