247,000 people affected by flooding in Philippines

Manila, Aug 4 (IANS Over 247,000 people in southern Philippine province of Maguindanao were affected by flooding following heavy rains, authorities said Sunday.

The displaced came from 185 villages in 20 municipalities, Xinhua reported.
