Five footballers of Espanyol -- Ruben Duarte, Juan Fuentes, Paco Montanes, Hernan Perez and Joan Jordan -- are suffering for gastroenteritis, the La Liga club said on Saturday.
Duarte and Fuentes suffered the symptoms of fever and vomiting ahead of their side's 0-4 defeat against Las Palmas on Friday and returned to the team hotel, reports Efe.
Montanes began to feel sick during the La Liga clash, while the other two players felt pain during dinner.
The five players are currently undergoing medical treatment, while it seems that their discomfort would not prevent them from appearing with their team against Sevilla in the 36th round of La Liga on May 1.
