Minister of State for Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir reviewed the Maoist problem in Chhattisgarh where the rebels massacred 25 security personnel last month, an official said on Friday.
Ahir visited the state on Thursday and met six constables of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who were injured in the April 24 attack on the force at Sukma.
He also met a constable of Maharashtra Police in Raipur injured in an operation against the Maoists.
The minister shared food with the troopers in their mess, visited their barracks and inspected their arms and ammunition, a Home Ministry official said.
Ahir also met villagers and Chhattisgarh government officials.
