Atletico Paranaense rally to defeat Flamengo

Atletico Paranaense recovered from a 0-2 deficit to shock Flamengo 4-2 in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Hernane and Luiz Antonio gave the hosts a 2-0 lead inside the first eight minutes before goals from Fran Merida, Dellatorre, Marcelo and Roger consigned Flamengo to their eighth loss of the season Thursday, reports Xinhua.

The Rio giants are now in 15th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone, while Atletico Paranaense have risen to fourth.

In other games Thursday, Portuguesa defeated Nautico 3-0 and Bahia overcame Internacional 2-0.

Cruzeiro lead the league standings with 49 points, followed by Botafogo (42) and Gremio (38).
