Australian national netball team Diamonds levelled the 2013 Constellation Cup series 1-1 after beating the New Zealand Silver Ferns 47-45 at Vector Arena in Auckland.
In the second Test on Thursday, the Diamonds played with more intensity and confidence than in the opening Test when beaten in Invercargill, capital of the Southland region of New Zealand, Xinhua reported Friday.
The Diamonds trailed early on Thursday, but they soon turned it into an advantage, with a four-goal run that took them out to 46-41 ended up being enough for the Australian team.
The five-match netball series heads across the Tasman, with the third Test in Adelaide on October 4, followed by matches in Melbourne and Canberra.
The Constellation Cup is contested annually by national netball teams of Australia and New Zealand.
