Atletico Madrid's Spanish forward Diego Costa on Thursday trained normally with his teammates as he seemed to have fully recovered from the foot discomfort he has been suffering from recently.
That meant he could be available for the Rojiblancos upcoming La Liga match against Girona, reports Efe news.
The Brazilian-born player has been struggling with an inter-locking nail that was planted in his leg 12 years ago and has forced him out of his team's most recent league games prompting doctors to mull over the possibility of another surgery.
But this struggle appeared to be a thing of the past as Costa trained normally for a little over an hour with the players who did not start in Atletico's 2-0 win Wednesday over Monaco in Group A of the UEFA Champions League.
Wednesday's starters took part in a less intense session, while injured Spanish right back Juanfran Torres and Uruguayan defender Jose Maria Gimenez trained at the gym and Uruguayan defender Diego Godin worked out both at the gym and on the ground.
