Atletico Madrid's Turkish midfielder Arda Turan has announced on Twitter that rumours about his possible transfer to Barcelona "are not entirely correct" and that he was simply enjoying a relaxing vacation.
Several Catalan media outlets announced on Wednesday that Turan is getting close to signing with La Liga champions Barcelona, Efe reported on Thursday.
Sport newspaper said that the signing was finalised at a meeting in Ibiza between Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and Atletico CEO Gil Marin.
Meanwhile, representatives from Atletico confirmed that the club didn't meet with any members of Barcelona club regarding Turan's transfer.
In turn, the player's agent Ahmet Bulut told EFE that there has been no contact with Barcelona on the player's transfer.
