From playing an urban girl with karate skills in forthcoming Telugu comedy "Jakkanna" to attempting something contrasting in Puri Jagannadh's "Rogue" and Sai Dharam Tej's "Thikka", actress Mannara Chopra says she will surprise audiences with her variety of roles.

"Audiences will see different Mannara in each of my next films. I'm happy that I've been getting roles where I just don't end up being a commodity, but instead have scope to perform. There's so much audience can look forward to from my variety of roles, I'm sure it will surprise them," Mannara told IANS.

Having signed three projects in quick succession, Mannara has been shooting non-stop.

"It's been crazy. With so much travelling, literally shuttling between Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Malaysia and Dubai among other places, life has been one roller-coaster ride in the last six months," she said.

However, she has no regrets living life out of a suitcase.

"When you love what you're doing, the struggle doesn't matter," she added.

Her first release of the year will be Sunil-starrer "Jakkanna", which is slated to release later this month.

"It's a comedy with quirky romance. I had amazing time working on this project, especially with Sunil, who is a wonderful co-star. As a newcomer, it's very important to observe and learn from your co-actors and that's exactly what I did on the sets," said Mannara, who'd observe and learn from Sunil even in between shots.

The actress also feels that by sharing screen space with Sunil, a former comedian turned hero, her comic skills have been polished.

"Sunil helped me understand the language better. The challenging part was the dialogues, which had to rhyme in most cases and hence confusing to memorize. Nevertheless, I worked hard to ensure I got my lines right while performing," she said.

Talking about her role, Mannara said she enjoyed her stint with action.

"I play an urban girl who has learnt karate. I feature in a fight sequence and it's something audiences will really enjoy. I've learnt kick-boxing for my Hindi film aZida¿, and it came very handy while performing action in this role," she explained.

Among her other two releases, Mannara says, without divulging too much, her role in "Rogu" will catch audiences by surprise.

"All I can say at this moment is my role in aRogue' is in total contrast to what I've played so far. I can assure the same about my role in aThikka' too. I'm sure audiences will not look at my characters and say that they're similar to what I had done before," she said.

On a concluding note, when asked if she has a dream role, she said she'd love to be part of a dance-based film.
