Two- and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto Monday reported a an increase of 13 percent in its sales for July due a sharp increase in exports.
The sales stood at 319,292 units from 281,327 units sold in the corresponding period of last year.
Exports, grew by 54 percent at 169,755 units from 110,023 units shipped-out during the corresponding period of 2013.
"Highest ever exports for any month," the company said.
According to the company, motorcycle sales rose by nine percent at 267,841 units from 246,828 units sold in July, 2013.
Commercial vehicle sales rocketed by 49 percent at 51,451 units from 34,499 units sold in the like period of last year.
"Highest ever (commercial vehicle) sales for any month," the company added.
