Bollywood movie 'Bajirao Mastani' has been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh, a government spokesman said on Tuesday.
He said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his family watched the movie on Sunday night and was "impressed" by the movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In 16th century India, undefeated warrior Bajirao was bestowed with the title of Prime Minister and became the greatest weapon of his Empire.
The film was praised by the critics and has done well at the box office.
Actor Ranveer Singh who essays the role of Bajirao, had performed at the Saifai Mahotsava earlier this year and requested Akhilesh to "find time" to watch the flick, a close aide of Yadav said.
The movie recently bagged the popular Filmfare awards.
