Belarusian club BATE Borisov beat Roma 3-2 in a Champions League Group E match here.

BATE Borisov held on to beat Roma 3-2 after being 3-0 up at half-time on Tuesday, reports Xinhua.

Midfielder Igor Stasevich opened the scoring in the eighth minute for BATE, before a double from defender Filip Mladenovic sealed the result, even if Roma came back with two goals in the second half from attackers Gervinho and Vasilis Torosidis.

BATE registered their first win in nine matches against Italian clubs and fourth successive home victory in this season's competition.
