Bengal CM to call on President Kovind
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said she will call on new President Ram Nath Kovind in Delhi in the evening.
"It is a protocol to meet the new President. I will meet him today (Thursday) evening in Delhi," Banerjee said at the airport here in the afternoon before leaving for Delhi.
The Trinamool Congress supremo will also attend a meeting of opposition leaders in the national capital on Friday.
"Tomorrow (Friday), there is a meeting of opposition parties. I will be present there," the Chief Minister said.
