A 37-year-old Bhondsi jail inmate committed suicide on Friday by hanging himself in one of its washrooms, police said.
Bhupender Sahani was jailed since March 19 after he was accused of raping his minor daughter, a jail official told IANS.
The accused, hailing from Madhubani district of Bihar, was living in Pataudi area of Gurugram district. His wife had lodged an FIR at Pataudi police station against him.
"Prisoners were out of barracks around 10 a.m. when he went to the washroom and hanged himself with an iron grille of a ventilator," the official said.
