Four persons were arrested on charge of running a fake call centre to dupe people in foreign countries, including the US, police said here on Friday.
The call centre was run from Udyog Vihar Phase 5 here.
"Four of the arrested had assumed names. We are investigating the number of persons they duped and the amount involved. The centre was running for months now," said Gurugram police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
The arrests were made by the Crime Branch on directions of Assistant Commissioner of Police Hitesh Yadav after collecting technical evidence.
"The employees made calls to the US and offered loans, charging $700-800 for each case," Boken said.
