The Delhi BJP on Thursday protested outside AAP leader Somnath Bharti's office here following allegations of domestic violence levelled against him by his wife.
Holding banners and placards against Bharti, the protestors rallied outside Bharti's office in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar and demanded his resignation as a legislator.
"He (Bharti) should resign. He should first settle matters in his family," said Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi unit president Satish Upadhyay.
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Wednesday issued summons to Bharti after his wife Lipika Mitra accused him of domestic violence.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator, who was law minister in the earlier AAP government that came to power in Delhi in December 2013, has termed all the charges "baseless".
