The Border Security Force (BSF) said on Friday it had seized 18 kg of heroin in Punjab's Ferozepur sector bordering Pakistan.
The heroin seizure is valued at Rs.90 crore in the international market.
The seizure was made at the border outpost Karnail Singh Wala in Ferozepur sector, about 300 km from here. The BSF also recovered a pair of shoes and a plastic pipe.
The seizure was made by BSF troopers who noticed suspicious movement of Pakistani smugglers near the border fence, BSF Deputy Inspector General R.S. Kataria said.
