Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan's forward Kean Lewis scored a brace and set up another goal to help his side beat Police AC 4-1 in a Calcutta Football League (CFL) premier division match at the Barasat stadium here on Thursday.

Midfielder Lalkamal Bhowmik also got into the scoresheet for Mohun Bagan along with Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi while for Police AC striker Eric Brown scored with a free-kick.

The win will help Mohun Bagan regain its confidence as they head into the September 6 derby against traditional foes East Bengal.

In Thursday's match, however, it was Police AC who took the lead early in the 15th minute as Brown scored a superb goal. His left-footed strike was powerful enough to beat custodian Shilton Paul.

Ten minutes later Mohun Bagan drew level with a equally stunning strike from Lalkamal who found the net with a long ranger.

Lewis then scored in first half injury time with a precise and crisp volley which flew past the Police AC goalkeeper to put the glamour team ahead.

At the breather Mohun Bagan led 2-1. In the second half both teams took time to get going and it resulted in some lacklustre football. Police AC tried staging a comeback but the Bagan defence stood strong.

In the 76 minute, Lewis' sublime pass found Dudu who did the needful by putting the ball smartly in the net.

Eight minutes later Lewis was rewarded for his persistence as he scored his second goal with strong right-footer.
