A chain snatcher suspected to be involved in more than 96 criminal cases was arrested here along with his associate, police said Thursday.
Vikram, 28, and his aide Santosh were arrested from north Delhi's Bawana area Wednesday, police said.
"Two gold chains were recovered from them," said a police officer, adding that they had solved 16 cases of snatching with their arrest.
He said Vikram was released from jail three months ago, but he again took to crime.
"He has been earlier involved in over 96 cases of snatching, burglary, drug peddling, illegal firearms and assault on police officers," the officer added.
During interrogation, the accused revealed they committed crimes in Delhi and escaped to Alwar in Rajasthan and Nangal in Punjab, police said.
