Championship to rank best stock market analysts

A novel championship has been instituted to promote stock market investments through individuals or entities, registered as research analysts with stock exchanges' regulator SEBI, its organiser said on Friday.

Participants can post their advisory on a daily basis on advisorymandi.com website and its mobile app too. Winner of the first championship will be ranked and announced on marks obtained daily by participants on the basis of accuracy of their advisory posted on the website, organiser Advisorymandi.com said in a statement here.

Daily winners in three categories will be announced for awarding gold coins.

"The championship will be held annually. Research analysts or investment advisors registered under the SEBI regulations, 2014 and investment advisor regulations, 2013 will be able to participate in the championship," the statement said.

Trading firms like Angel Broking, SMC Global, Motilal Oswal and Capital Via have registered for the championship.

A SEBI registration number as an investment advisor or research analyst is mandatory to participate in the championship.

"The championship is an attempt to bring all market players at one place and pave way for a stronger economy. With an engaging format, the championship will create awareness on investing in the stock market and help create a new generation of informed investors," Advisormandi.com founder and chief executive Kaushlendra Singh Sengar said.

Though the championship will begin in Mumbai on April 21, registration for participation is open.

"The championship will help advisors cater to investors and traders with best investment insights and reduce loss in the stock market," the statement added.
