Singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wants to be known simply as Cheryl.

She may reportedly drop her new surname as people are having a lot of problems in pronouncing it, reports contactmusic.com.

"It's just Cheryl because everyone seems to be having a hard time saying it," a source was quoted as saying.

The "X Factor" judge had recently changed from her previous name of Cheryl Cole - from her four year marriage to soccer star Ashley Cole - to adopt her new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini's surname.

The two tied the knot July 7 in an intimate ceremony.
