Civil surgeon arrested in Bihar for taking bribe

The Bihar vigilance bureau on Tuesday arrested a civil surgeon of Rohtas district while he was accepting a bribe in his office, the police said.

Dr. Jai Shankar Prasad had allegedly arranged to manipulate the award of a tender for some work in Sadar Hospital in Sasaram district to the complainant Suresh Pandey in return for money, a police official said.

He was caught taking a bribe of Rs 80,000 and was booked for corruption.
