Delhi experienced a cloudy Saturday with the maximum temperature recorded at 15.7 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season's average. The Met department has forecast a clear sky Sunday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures is likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius.
"Sunday morning will start with moderate fog while the sky will remain mainly clear and the day will be pleasant," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Saturday morning started with shallow fog and light rain, bringing the minimum temperature to 11 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
Delhi received light rains till 8.30 a.m.
According to Northern Railway, one train was cancelled, nine were rescheduled and 28 ran late due to fog in the northern region of the country.
"Flight operations were affected and 22 flights were delayed due to the Delhi fog," said Kapil Sabarwal, spokesperson for the Indira Gandhi international airport.
The national capital Friday recorded the lowest maximum temperature of the season at 12.9 degrees Celsius, seven notches below average. The entire day remained cloudy and there was rain in some parts. Minimum temperature was recorded a notch above average at eight degrees Celsius.
