English golfer Holly Clyburn, who is yet to win any major tournament, made a great start by leading her team to a fine win in the Pro-Am of the Hero Women's Indian Open here Wednesday.
Clyburn's team included Amit Luthra, Harinder Sikka and Surinder Kumar. Kiwi golfer Beth Allen led her team comprising Madan Lal, Nikhil Mehra and Sanjay Sharma to finish second.
Kumi Uchiyama from Japan teamed up with Chetan Singh, Ajay Dahiya and Aman Sawhney to finish third. Among the Indians, Sharmila Nicollet's team finished sixth whereas Vani Kapoor's team finished eighth.
The eighth edition of the tournament, which is tri-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET), Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) and the Women's Golf Association of India (WGAI), will start at the Delhi Golf Club Thursday.
