Coal India defers exclusive e-auction

Coal India said it has withdrawn, for the time being, the first phase of exclusive e-auction for non power consumers for 2016-17 scheduled to be held on Thursday and Saturday.

"Due to certain unavoidable reasons, the exclusive e-auction for non power consumers for 2016-17 Phase-I, scheduled to be held on June 16 and June 18 stand withdrawn for the time being," a company notice said.

Last week, the coal behemoth also revised the modalities for exclusive e-auction for the first phase of exclusive e-auction for 2016-17 for non power consumers.
